Coordinate the transversal engineering activity to supervise the process of design and development of the European platform renewable projects. Manage the initial engineering and design phase of projects in new geographies and the transfer to the local teams. Create and implement best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance and to secure the implementation of EDPR technical standards in all new geographies. Main Accountabilities PROJECT DESIGN: Perform the design activities in the first project cycle phases: initial permitting and basic engineering, advanced permitting and detailed engineering, tendering processes for construction for new geographies until a local team is set. ENGINEERING TRANSVERSAL SUPPORT: Support the elaboration of the specifications for basic and executive projects that the local engineering teams perform; supervise the technical adequacy Provide technical support in the tender processes and assists local engineering teams and Purchasing Department in the adjudication negotiation to guarantee the best technical-economic conditions in the awarding. Ensure strong communication between local E&C teams and Corporate Areas to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements. Support the local teams along the engineering projects execution, and in particular of the electrical infrastructures and installations, coordinating with Operational Support and Technology the needed support. SPECIALIZED STUDIES COORDINATION : Coordinate and validate with other Technology Units the execution of specific key studies (collector system, reactive power compensation, foundation design, noises, or others) for its integration in the engineering project, to minimize the risk associated to the construction process. SUPPORT TO M&A PROCESS: Collaborate with other Areas to perform Technical Due Diligences to acquire projects in different levels of Development, performing project evaluation, basic engineering and needed studies. PROVIDERS AND SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT: Establish relationships with the main suppliers and providers for the whole value chain in order to include the most efficient technical and economical options to the engineering designs for each site. STANDARDIZATION: Assure the application of the common standards in the studies and projects, supervising its adaptation to applicable local regulation, in order to avoid non justified deviations and maximize the investment efficiency with all the technical warranty needed. Engineering & Construction best practices definition and implementation. Challenge Technical Standards applicability and verify and justify deviations from them, in order to assure the technical solvency and the technical-economic efficiency of the projects. Initiate and develop creative and innovative engineering processes. COMPANY POLICY AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE: Understand and apply policies to prevent occupational hazards, environment and quality to ensure implementation and compliance on tasks under their responsibility. EDPR INSTITUTIONAL REPRESENTATION: Represent EDPR to agencies and institutions, public and private, in matters relating to its jurisdiction to enforce the interests of EDPR. Required Profile Qualification: Master of Science (Electrical Engineering) A postgraduate in Renewable Energies will be valued Experience: At least from 5-8 years of experience in Wind/Solar PV Power Plants and HV infrastructure projects Experience in coordination and planning in engineering teams and external engineering companies Specific requirements: Wind Farms, PV Plants, High Voltages Lines and Electrical Substations projects AutoCad, ArcGIS, MSOffice Knowledge of International technical normative Languages: Spanish and English (Portuguese and others is a plus) Comments: Ability to perform duties in a collaborative, multi-national working environment High attention to detail Strong statistical and analytical skills Solved-problems and open-minded attitude Communicative and sociable Available to travel very often Among EDPR's principles we would like to highlight diversity and inclusion as a strength in our values and practices.
