Start: April/MayDuration: 12 months (option of extension)Workload: 100%Location: remoteLanguage: englishRequirements:- Azure- SQL- Oracle- TerraformJob Description:1. provide DBA support for Microsoft Azure Cloud MS SQL DBs, with option to add more DBtypes at additional locations for approx. 400 DBs including MS SQL and Oracle databases (12).2. provision of 8x5 support (German business hours) with on-call service for P1 and P2 incidents3. monitor performance and implement changes and optimizations, including monitoring and healthchecks on DR4. monitoring activity on DBs to identify obsolete and monthly check for unused DBs.5. grades, patches and maintenance activities6. ensure high availability including backup and recovery activities using the prescribed tools fromthe Azure team7. ensure that appropriate activities are performed to adapt and right-size instances, includingoptimization for cost-efficient operation8. provide proactive and reactive data management support9. support the Azure team in defining the right DB structure for the new projects and creating IaCbased deployment templates.10. perform DB creation and setup including troubleshooting in the required subscriptions.11. provide project hyper-care support in case of problems.12. defining and enforcing policies, procedures and standards.13. validate and ensure DB security, privacy and integrity.14. utilize Infrastructure as a Code for deployments (Terraform)15. ensure that key metrics are established (to be defined and confirmed by Brenntag) and reportedregularly, including suggestions for improvement.16. produce regular reports (as defined and confirmed with Brenntag) on overall DB landscapeimprovements (consolidation, optimizations, financial optimizations).
