In this role, you will continuously follow the latest technological developments in the field of Cloud. Your day-to-day work includes designing, installing, configuring and maintaining Cloud services in line with our client business needs. You supervise, manage and guarantee the daily availability and capacity of the Cloud service. You are jointly responsible for ensuring that it operates as optimally as possible, including handling incidents, problems, changes, requests, capacity allocation or changing routes from a risk perspective. Mission/Goal As a Cloud engineer, you understand what the Cloud systems mean for our client and you have the knowledge and skills to understand, connect and manage Cloud solutions. You love working with the latest products and you are a driven professional with a stress-resistant attitude. You work closely with colleagues and suppliers in the IT chain. Through your entrepreneurial attitude, you contribute to the further development of the department. Working from the technique and the informal setting in which you will work suit you. Main activities Realization and maintenance of cloud services and integration (setting up facilities, incl. enablement, operational ready, unlocking, unlocking). Connecting cloud solution to our client IT monitoring/management systems and tooling regarding operational performance, use, risk and compliance IT chains Activating and configuring cloud services according to the our client guidelines (template) Drafting, standardizing and automating management of cloud services Setting up operational cloud management for cloud service Set up automatic management mechanisms (autoscaling, etc), monitoring foundation, test schedule foundation, ITM processes, workload management, data restore cloud, data loss preventive measures. Realization and maintenance of cloud catalog incl. Universal packages, (integration) tests and automations Testing/implementing cloud exit plan (automatic) Implement and test security baselines cloud services and attach to service items Perform and support workload migrations to cloud Operationalizing and publishing (being able to call up) existing cloud services from catalog in portal (automated) Reporting on the use of cloud services (in portal) Perform management of the cloud subscriptions Performing continuous improvement of cloud service(s) at operational level incl. product and process innovation Provisioning/executing update management (running LCM, SC and integration) Performing and supporting contingency tests Contribute to the phasing out of Run activities through automation, documentation, information and delegation Place in the organization Within AIT, the Cloud Engineer works in a devop team that works in accordance with the Agile/Scrum method. Relationships other roles The cloud engineer works together with solution and system architects in designing the cloud solutions. The product owners and team leaders of your own department. The basic teams use our services. To feel comfortable in the position, you need to be able to get along well with: High Level of English and spanish The possibility of working for a certain period of time in the Netherlands (3 months intermittently). You have a college education or similar work/thinking level, preferably in computer science You have thorough knowledge and experience of Microsoft cloud products and you also have the necessary technical certifications, such as MCSA and MCSE You have relevant experience, knowledge and skills about Cloud engineering standards, concepts and techniques. Knowledge and experience with cloud engineering including Microsoft Office365, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, VCA or other solutions and aspects of microservices, APIs, MQ, NoSQL, distributed services, etc. Certifications are an advantage. You have strong programming skills in the Cloud-specific programming languages (Powershell, etc.). Certifications are an advantage You have experience in designing and implementing complex infrastructure environments, connecting and migrating from on-premise environments to cloud as well as scripting in a cloud environment You have experience in Agile development methods. You are able to function both independently and in a team. You have above-average risk awareness and management. Meticulous work is in you and you don't stop testing until you are really sure. A secure solution comes first for you. You are analytical, conceptual and have creative skills. You have a problem-solving and pragmatic attitude. You look beyond the technology and therefore also look at how you can solve the customer's problem as optimally as possible and how you can help the customer's customer. You like to take the initiative and are not afraid to actively share your ideas. You have the ambition to help build the future of our client and you like to learn new things. You realize that developments do not stand still and you spend a healthy amount of time and energy to keep your knowledge up to date. Standing still is going backwards for you. our client (IT) knowledge is an advantage You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
