Within Food Service Business in Iberia, McCain is the leader in the frozen potato category and your primary role, as Sales Representative, is to manage some distributors and end users in your specific area. Job purpose: As a Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for managing and coordinating sales activities within the subordinated region North and Center of Iberia (Spain+Portugal) in alignment with the agreed strategy, objectives, plans, and budgets. Key Responsibilities: Sales activities Implement the best strategy which should be in line with the European one in terms of volume, net sales, gross profit and product mix, and ensuring its execution and follow up. You will be highly involved in the management of key distributors of your region for which you will develop business plans, implement them and do follow up. You will directly manage some relevant Main End Users for which you will develop business plans, implement them and do follow up. You will be responsible for the results of your region. You will know and have contact with all customers of your region. The frequency of the contact and your involvement grade will depend on how strategic the customer for your region is and on specific situations. Participate in the development and achievement of sales and marketing plans according to the agreed budget figures and strategy. Be obsessed with the customers of your region, listening to them, understanding their needs, and work with the Regional Account Managers to developing the best strategy for each. Focus on the strategic products of the company. You will support and push the digital journey in your region, giving example to your team and give the Regional Account Managers the right support and follow up that is required. Ensure the best customer´s experience, being in contact with other Departments such as Customer Service, Marketing, AR, etc Identify, understand, and communicate sales trends in your region. Gather and communicate necessary data about competition, market activities, promotions, and new product launches. Analyze distributor performance concerning McCain and competition sales, assortment, distribution, and product presence in the market. Promote McCain products and increase market share in your region thanks to good management of business relationships. Propose initiatives to improve the business in your region in terms of volume, mkt share or gross profit. Relationship Building and Cooperation: Build strong relationships and cooperation with distributor sales forces and management to maximize McCain product presence across all end-user channels in the region and provide exceptional service. Conduct regular business reviews with key distributors and main end users of your region to assess performance, identify opportunities for growth, and address any concerns or challenges. Constant relationship with other Regional Sales Manager to share best practices and get a better understanding of the Food Service industry. Constant relationship with other departments of the company to ensure the best customer´s service. Participate in or lead specific projects when requested. New Product Development: Play an active role in new product development by providing feedback and insights based on market trends and customer needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to support the needs of key accounts and drive business growth. Reporting: Sales reviews and presentations as required by management. Share your deep understanding of the business in your region regarding what is happening, what is working, what is not working, and your proposals to develop your region. Team Management: Provide clear direction, leadership, and guidance to the sales team to ensure they understand their goals and objectives. Support the professional development of team members by offering mentorship, coaching, and training opportunities. Monitor the performance of individual team members against targets and KPIs, providing regular feedback and performance reviews. Implement strategies to motivate the team to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth. Conduct periodical staff review and assessment. About You: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in sales or account management, preferably within the food service industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Strong understanding of the food service industry, including knowledge of distribution channels, customer segments, and market dynamics. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal stakeholders. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales plans and initiatives. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations. Proven ability to lead and manage a sales team, with strong leadership, coaching, and motivational skills. Proficient in CRM software nice to have. Good level in English & Spanish is required. Driver's License Willingness to travel within the designated region as required.
