We are looking for a General Accoutant to join our team in Madrid! Job description Context of the position You will be responsible for the administrative, accounting and financial management of Selectra Madrid Energia, the Spanish service center (call center and web services) of Selectra SAS, a French Company. To this end, you will be responsible for accounting production, tax returns, the annual closing and relations with banks and external auditors. You will apply the guidelines issued by the finance department (based in France), while adapting them to Spanish specificities and being a driving force in terms of processes, taxation and accounting. You will report directly to the Group CFO. This position is newly created following an internal reorganisation. Outcomes to be accomplished Standard accounting production and tax return completed on time Annual accounts closed and audited on time In accordance with the Group standard N accounts closed by March N+1 Implementation of group work processes and methodology (cash pooling, etc.) Assuming authority and responsibility for payments Improving and automating financial tools Consolidated monthly reporting packages Cash flow monitoring. Profile You hold an accounting degree and recognise yourself in the following characteristics: You have an expertise in accounting and tax in Spanish GAAP General accounting VAT and corporation tax returns (assistance from a tax specialist if necessary) You are fluent in English, French would be a plus You have a good knowledge of Excel You have a 2+ years of experience in an accounting or auditing firm and are looking for a new challenge Fit competencies: At Selectra, we’re looking for efficient and organized people.
